Sunshine Pet Grooming hosts the second Downtown Dogs gathering on October 11 from noon to 4 p.m. in the public parking lot at 222 Lewis Street in downtown Shakopee, directly in front of Pablo's Mexican Restaurant. Local businesses join the dog-centered celebration with vendors and food trucks. Fresh water, bowls, and waste bags are provided for dogs; bring a leash and a dog comfortable around a crowd. Beer is sold from a tent inside the event area, with ID checks and wristbands for buyers. The parking lot closes at 9 a.m. for setup and reopens by 5 p.m., so plan to park elsewhere while attending.
