Families, children, scout troops and neighborhood groups are invited to Savage Fire Station 1 for a free community open house. Meet local firefighters and CIRT K9 Marshall, look inside a fire truck and try on fire gear. The published activity list includes an inflatable bounce house, a fire-extinguisher simulator, live demonstrations, door prizes, smoke-alarm information and an introduction to Community Connect. All ages are welcome. The event runs Sunday, October 11, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 14321 O’Connell Road in Savage.
