Watch artists from Igneous Metal Arts cast molten metal into open-faced sand molds at Caponi Art Park on October 17. The public demonstration runs from noon to 4 p.m. and offers an opportunity to see the artists’ casting process and the molds they have created. Igneous Metal Arts is a nonprofit that supports metal casting through public learning opportunities, workshops and demonstrations. Caponi’s outdoor art setting occupies wooded land in Eagan. Visitors use the public parking area on the south side of Diffley Road and can reach the north side through the pedestrian tunnel. The park’s trails are pedestrian-only, and children must be supervised around the artworks.
